Consultation Approach
We at RWE take a long-term interest in our assets and the communities in which they’re located. For this reason, among others, public consultation, engagement and communication is very important for us, as well as our project partners Saorgus Energy. We want to engage with the local community to ensure we deliver a successful project for Ireland. Your engagement will help to shape the development and design of the project in advance of our main development consent application being submitted.

2019 Foreshore Licence Consultation
In 2019 we applied for an updated foreshore licence to allow us to carry out additional surveys of the proposed development area (offshore wind farm site and submarine export cable corridors). The application documents were made available for public inspection both online and at multiple Garda Stations across Dublin and Wicklow for three weeks (the types of locations being defined in the relevant foreshore legislation). The period of consultation on this foreshore licence application has now ended. We would like to thank all persons who participated in this consultation process.
2020 Public Consultation
Our most recent phase of public consultation took place online with a virtual exhibition which lasted for over six weeks during October and November 2020 and attracted a large number of visitors across a wide geographic area. We would like to thank all persons who participated in this consultation process. The feedback received is informing our design development and environmental impact assessment processes.
While the virtual exhibition has now closed, we will continue to engage with anyone who would like to do so, with a full time Community Liaison Officer being a key part of our project team.
If you would like to view the information that was provided during the virtual exhibition, you can access the it on our consultation documents page here >>
Future Consultation
We will be carrying out further consultation and information sharing in 2021 and beyond. We will publicise any future consultation activities here on our website, through advertising, and via our project updates for those who have subscribed. You can subscribe at the bottom of this page.
