• Dublin Array will deliver up to 850MW of renewable electricity
• Extra in-person event to be held in the Marine Hotel, Sutton March 29th, 2023
• Public Consultation end-date extended to March 31st, 2023
Dublin Array is a proposed offshore wind farm on the Kish and Bray Banks, approximately 10km from the coastline of counties Dublin and Wicklow which will deliver 700 – 850MW of clean, renewable electricity via 39 to 50 turbines. This could reduce Ireland’s carbon emissions by over 1.5m tonnes a year.
Following the 7 in-person public consultation events held at 5 locations around Dublin and Wicklow in the last 7 weeks, the Dublin Array team have decided to add an extra event to give residents one last opportunity to view our consultation information in-person.
The event will be open to the public from 2pm to 9pm on Wednesday March 29th, 2023 at the Marine Hotel, 13 Sutton Cross, Burrow, Sutton, Co. Dublin. We hope this will give those who have not yet had the opportunity to attend one of our events the chance to do so.
We are also extending the date our virtual consultation room, which we launched on January 30th, is live to March 31st 2023. This is accessible via our project website www.dublinarray.com. This provides an opportunity to view the consultation information online and learn more about the project, and give the project team any feedback you may have.
Peter Lefroy, Head of Offshore Development Ireland with RWE, said: “I am delighted to be extending our consultation period to give members of the public more time to access our most up-to-date project information, including our visualisation tool, and allowing us to have a meaningful exchange of information with local communities. Dublin Array is a vital project in Ireland’s move towards a low carbon energy system and we look forward to continuing our engagement with local communities.”
Engagement will continue after this current phase of public consultation. Anyone can book a call back, email or call us at any time. All of our contact details can always be found at www.dublinarray.com/keep-in-touch/.
