Ground Investigation Works Notification

Dublin Array Ground Works

This notice is to advise you in advance of some ground investigation works Causeway Geotech Ltd will be carrying out in the Shanganagh Cliffs area in the coming weeks on behalf of Dublin Array Offshore Wind Farm.

The purpose of these ground investigation works is to provide information on local ground conditions in order to help inform the design and development of up to two potential underground electricity cables in the area in the coming years.  If developed, these cables would be owned and operated by EirGrid, the national electricity company, as part of the national electricity transmission network.

The proposed programme of works means there will be drilling and site investigation plant operating in the locations indicated in the figures overleaf during the following time period.

  • Week Commencing: 5 September 2022
  • Completion: 14 October 2022
  • Working hours: 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday [No drilling or investigation works will commence prior to 09:00]

There should be minimal impacts outside of the sites, other than occasionally elevated noise levels.

We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during these works.
